In the midst of this busy season, here are some helpful reminders to get the most from the holidays.

Have you ever wondered what attracts the wealthy to philanthropic causes? You soon may be able to find out. A study called The Joys and Dilemmas of the Wealthy is being conducted on America's rich. American households worth more than $25 million will be surveyed from moral values to charitable giving and religion. The Gates Foundation has contributed approximately $400,000 toward the study. Other organizations such as Calibre also contributed to funding the research. The study is due to be out next fall. We'll be sure to bring you a summary of findings when it is released.

Better Branding Made Practical We've read about branding for a long time. This concept hit the non-profit sector hard a few years ago. The simplest definition of a brand is a "promise". Oh, it's fun to talk about logos and positioning. But boiled down, your brand is what your donors and prospects have come to expect from their experience with your charity.
