Let's Celebrate Christmas in July!

The holidays are such a blessing to Faith Mission:  between Oct. 1 and Dec 31, we get 51% of our donations for the entire year! Receiving all these gifts really is a blessing.  But it's also a tremendous challenge.

Imagine getting that much of your income in just three months and then having to make it last for almost the entire year.

We stretch every dollar just as far as it will go.  But sometimes, by summer, when donations really drop off, we start to feel the pinch.

Vicky saw herself changeDuring the next 90 days, for example, we expect to serve more than 39,000 meals and provide 9,000 nights of shelter for needy men, women and children in Elkhart and the surrounding areas.

You see, people don't need less food or less shelter just because it's summer.  Sometimes in fact, the needs are even greater!

So even though the holiday season is still months away, we really need help during the summer months so we can continue to feed and care for those in need.

With your help, I am confident that we will be able to provide food, shelter and care for all the people who need our help this summer and throughout the year.

"Hearts of Hope" Virtual Tour Online

Hearts of Hope facility - take a virtual tourToday, the fastest-growing segments of the homeless are women and families with children. Sadly, the condition and physical layout of our facilities severely limit our ability to help them all. Our emergency shelter beds are filled every night. 201 families and 106 individuals were turned away due to lack of space at the Mission in 2005.

In response to these needs, Faith Mission has kicked off the "Hearts of Hope" campaign to facilitate the Mission's move to a larger, safer, and more efficient home.
